According to the report, a 10 km travel in Kolkata takes 34 minutes 33 seconds on an average. The city has become the second most slow city in the world not only in India but also in the world. The narrow streets of Kolkata, historical but old infrastructure and excessive pressure of traffic make it the most congested metropolis in the country. The congestion level here is 32% and an average driver ruins 110 hours of traffic throughout the year.
Bengaluru: IT City, but roads stopped
A journey of 10 km in Bengaluru, famous as IT hub, takes an average of 34 minutes 10 seconds. The time in contingent rate of 38% and 117 hours of traffic annually includes it among the most traffic affected cities in India. Pune: Signs of improvement, but problem remains intact
