IND vs Eng 2nd Test Highlights: India won the second Test against England and won by 336 runs and equaled 1–1 in the five-match Test series. In this match played on the grounds of Birmingham, Team India gave England a huge target of 608 runs, in response to which the hosts were reduced to just 271 runs. India broke the drought of 58 years win
India finally got the first win in the Test at Edgbaston ground in Birmingham. This is the same ground where Team India played their first Test in 1967, but never tasted the victory. The efforts of veteran captains like Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli could not bring color to this ground. But now Shubman Gill created history under his magnificent leadership and finished the 58 -year -old drought and won India for the first time in Edgbaston.

In the second Test, England won the toss and chose the first bowling, but the decision overshadowed him. India scored 587 runs in the first innings with Shubman Gill’s brilliant 269 -run innings and the contribution of Yashasvi Jaiswal (87) and Ravindra Jadeja (89). Harry Brook (158) and Jamie Smith (184) fought for England, but the rest of the batsmen failed and the team was all out on 407. India got a strong lead of 180 runs in the first innings.
In the second innings, Gill again showed amazing and completed a total of 430 runs in the match scoring 161 runs, who became the only fifth batsman in the world to score 400+ in one Test. KL Rahul (55), Rishabh Pant (65) and Jadeja (69*) also played useful innings, making India declared an innings at 427/6 and gave England a target of 608 runs.
The England team, chasing the target, appeared under pressure from the beginning and half of the team returned to the pavilion for 84 runs. On the fifth day, the English batsmen stayed in the hope of a draw, but despite the efforts of Ben Stokes and Jamie Smith, the team was reduced to 271 runs. India registered a historic victory by 336 runs.
