MS Dhoni is known all over the world for his calm nature and captaincy. But the more his game is discussed, one aspect of his family life is equally mysterious, that is his elder brother. Very few people know that Dhoni also has a real brother, who is about ten years older than him. He was also not present in ‘Captain Cool’ biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, which left his brother’s story ‘Untold’.
MS Dhoni was born as the youngest son of Pan Singh and Devaki Devi. Both his elder brother Narendra Singh and sister Jayanti are older than Dhoni. But only parents and sister are shown in the biopic, the elder brother is completely ignored.
Narendra Singh Dhoni lives a normal life and has also been active in politics. He has once been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and then Samajwadi Party. They live in Ranchi, but from time to time go to their ancestral village in Uttarakhand. They were married in 2007 and have two children. If you look at the Facebook page of Narendra Singh Dhoni’s wife carefully, you can also understand that he is seen handling the work of farming in MS Dhoni’s farm. Many times Narendra Singh Dhoni has also been seen in the form with MS Dhoni.
When Narendra was asked why he was not shown in the biopic, he said that the distance between Dhoni and him was too much. By the time Mahi started taking interest in cricket, he had gone to Almora for higher education. He clarified that he was not in any role in Dhoni’s cricket career and the focus of the film was also only on Dhoni’s cricket journey, not the family.
