In a conversation with Sky Cricket, Hussain said:

“According to me, Akash Deep is a tremendous discovery. He runs from the pavilion end and bowls on the aggressive length. India already has experienced bowlers like Siraj and Bumrah, and now the arrival of Akash Deep has made the Indian bowling attack and fatal.”

he adds:

“Akash Deep may have played only one Test, but the edge he showed in both innings was the real difference between India and England. It seemed as if he was bowling on another surface.”

Akash Deep said: A separate strategy was made for root and brook
Talking about his plan after the match, Akash Deep said:

“My goal was to put the ball on the exact length on the seam and bring it in. I kept the bowling out of the crease for the route while for Harry Brook to bring the ball in because he gives priority to play on the backfoot.”

“Not thinking about Lord’s right now”
Akash Deep said that he wants to enjoy his performance right now and will plan for Lord’s Test (10–14 July) later.

“Right now I just want to enjoy this moment. Lord’s strategy will probably be different, maybe not. Our focus is to stay on our process.”
