In a recent statement, Mohit expressed his admiration for Ahaan and Aneet's performances, likening them to established stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. He remarked, “I wouldn’t have embarked on 'Saiyaara' without discovering such talented actors. Initially, I was considering other projects until I connected with Yash Raj Films, who were nurturing Ahaan and Aneet for a youthful love story.”
He elaborated, “Creating a love story with debut actors requires them to convincingly portray the emotional nuances that make the narrative relatable. While we don't expect newcomers to match the acting prowess of established stars, they must be capable performers. I had almost abandoned the idea of casting debutants due to my inability to find the right talent until I met Ahaan and Aneet.”
Mohit continued, “I had shifted my focus to more commercially viable faces, but after lengthy writing sessions for 'Saiyaara', I was impressed by Ahaan and Aneet's auditions. Their ability to embody a vision is a rare find today, making it refreshing to craft a love story with new talent. I’m thrilled to have discovered them, as they allow me to tell this story authentically.”
'Saiyaara' is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 11, 2025.
