Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana recently dropped its first look featuring Ranbir Kapoor Yash Sai Pallavi and several other big stars. Since then it has been creating major buzz. Audiences got a brief glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and South Indias Rocking Star Yash as Ravan. Ramayana is being touted as the biggest Indian film ever made with a reported budget of Rs 1600 crore for both parts. The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios. Heres how much Ramayana has earned after releasing the first look? Even before its release the movie has earned a whopping amount more than half of its total budget for both parts. Reports suggest that the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer is set to surpass the biggest films of Shah Rukh Khan Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Ramayana has reportedly already earned Rs 1000 crore from its pre-release buzz generated primarily by the first look alone. The audiences excitement over the first look also had a positive impact on the company’s performance in the stock market. There have been significant profits even before the film’s release due to this. It has been reported that Prime Focus which is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) witnessed a 30% surge in its share price. From Rs 113.47 to Rs 149.69 between June 25 and July 1 it rose after its board approved the issue of 462.7 million equity shares through a preferential allotment. By July 3 Prime Focus’ shares hit Rs 176 pushing the company’s market capitalisation from Rs 4638 crore to a high of Rs 5641 crore an increase of over Rs 1000 crore in just two days. Eventually the share price settled at Rs 169 with the market cap stabilising at around Rs 5200 crore. How much percentage will Ranbir Kapoor get from the profit of Ramayana? Actor Ranbir Kapoor was listed among the proposed investors after the board approved the issuance of new shares. According to Business Standard the actor will receive 1.25 million shares estimated to be worth nearly Rs 20 crore based on current market rates. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari Ramayana will be released in two parts - Part 1 on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in 2027. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram Yash as Ravana Sai Pallavi as Sita Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Music legends AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are joining hands for the film’s score marking Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmers Bollywood debut.
