New Delhi. If you want to make a new Aadhar card (new aadhar card.) Or want to change the name, address or photo in the old Aadhaar, then now new rules have to be taken care of. Unique Identification Authority of India- UIDAI has released a new list of documents required to update Aadhaar for 2025-26.
More than one basis? The first one will be valid
UIDAI has made it clear that if two or more Aadhaar numbers have been formed by someone’s name, then the first issued base will be considered valid. All other Aadhaar numbers will be canceled.
Four important documents for Aadhaar
1. Identity proof-Under this you can show passport, PAN card (e-PAN card also valid), voter ID card, driving license, photo identity card issued by government/government undertakings, NREGA job card, pensioner identity card, Central Government Health Scheme/Ex-Servicery Contribution Health Scheme Card, Transgender ID Card as documents.
2. Address proof – For the proof of address, you can use electricity/water/gas/landline bill (which is less than 3 months old), bank passbook or bank statement, ration card, passport, driving license, rent contract (registered), pension documents, housing certificate issued by the state/central government.
3. Birth Certificate – You can use the marksheet, passport, pension document of the school, which has written your date of birth, the state or central government certificate which has a date of birth.
4. Proof of relationship (if necessary).
Which people will apply to the new rules?
– Indian citizen
– Indians living abroad (NRI)
– Children older than 5 years
– Foreigners living in India on long visas
