Method
- First of all, grind the soaked sago in a grinder slightly so that its batter -like base is made. Take care, do not add too much water.
- Now add mashed potatoes, water chestnut/Rajgira flour, green chillies, ginger, coriander, rock salt and cumin. Mix everything well. If the mixture is more thick then add some water.
- Heat non-stick griddle and apply light ghee. Now spread the mixture on the pan as you make gram flour cheela. Spread a little round and thin. On low flame, roast from both sides till it turns golden.
- Serve sago chila with curd or fast green chutney (made of peanuts, coriander, rock salt).
- While turning the cheela, keep in mind that it does not stick to the pan, so bake it well on low flame. It is very important to soak sago properly so that they remain soft and mix well.
