Strategic Collaboration Announced

The Indian Roll Ball League (IRBL) has formed a strategic alliance with the West Indies Champions cricket team in anticipation of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025, as reported by IRBL and the West Indies Champions.

This collaboration represents a pivotal moment in promoting Roll Ball, a sport that originated in Pune, India, in 2003, on an international platform.

Currently, Roll Ball is enjoyed in more than 60 nations and combines elements of basketball, handball, and skating. The IRBL, in partnership with SportzTank Pvt Ltd, is set to introduce the sport's inaugural international league later this year.

Ajay Sethi, the owner of the Dubai-based West Indies Champions, referred to this partnership as a testament to unity and the spirit of sportsmanship. Meanwhile, Sachin Joshi, the founder of IRBL, emphasized that this initiative celebrates India's rich sporting heritage.

The collaboration will also focus on engaging fans, fostering cultural exchanges, and activating grassroots initiatives, with the goal of bridging Indian and Caribbean sports cultures and motivating young athletes.

The WCL 2025, which has received official recognition from the ECB, is the only Legends T20 league globally, featuring renowned players such as Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, and Chris Gayle. The partnership between IRBL and West Indies Champions aims to establish a new global identity for Roll Ball.

As part of this initiative, Caribbean cricket icons Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, and Dwayne Bravo will don Indian Roll Ball helmets.
