Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has been facing a massive backlash for collaborating with Pakistani artist, Hania Aamir, in his film, Sardaar Ji 3. It happened because the film was released after a ban was placed on Pakistani artists following the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.

In the recent turn of events, actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut reacted to the controversy by questioning Diljit’s decision, underlining that "some genuinely have their own agenda."

Kangana Ranaut questions Diljit Dosanjh's decision to work with Hania Aamir

During an interview with Times Now, Kangana Ranaut said, “I've said enough about these people. At the beginning of our conversation, I pointed out that we need to have a sentiment of nation-building – everybody is a stakeholder.”

The Queen actress asked, “Why don't we have that sentiment? Why is Diljit having his own path? Why should somebody else, cricketers, have their own path? Even a soldier has his own path of nationalism. Somebody is having this, the poor soldier is having the path of nationalism, poor politician is having the path of nationalism. Some genuinely have their own agenda.”

She concluded by saying, “I am not saying it is unnatural, but we must try to align everybody. We must try to align, and that will happen only when we bring this idea to these politicians. It is your work.”

Kangana Ranaut vs Diljit Dosanjh in the past

This isn't the first time Kangana publicly spoke against Diljit. In 2020, Kangana and Diljit got into an ugly Twitter war during the farmers' protest. In a now-deleted tweet, Kangana also referred to him as “bootlicker,” and called him “Karan Johar ka paltu.”

It started with Kangana sharing false information about an elderly Sikh woman, who was a participant in the Farmers' Protest. In her tweet, she said that the elderly woman was protesting for Rs 100 and was the same woman who was the Shaheen Bagh Dadi, Bilkis Bano.

In a reply to Kangana, Diljit, who was supporting the farmers' protest, shared a video of the elderly Sikh woman to clear Kangana's doubt. He wrote, "Respected Mahinder Kaur Ji. Ah Sunn La Ni With Proof @KanganaTeam. Banda Ena V Ni Anna Hona Chaida..Kush v Boli Turi jandi aa .."

Miffed with Diljit's response, Kangana hit back calling him, "Karan Johar ke paltu." She wrote, “Ooo Karan Johar ke paltu, jo dadi Saheen Baag mein apni citizenship keliye protest kar rahi thi wohi Bilkis Bano dadi ji Farmers ke MSP ke liye bhi protest karti hue dikhi…”.

Well, this was just the beginning, and after this, the Twitter war got personal with both the actors attacking each other and passing personal comments.
