Australia: Cricket is a game where new history is written every day, but there are some records that remain immortal for decades. One such historical record is made in Australia. Where a team performed brilliantly and beat the bowlers 1107 runs in a single innings. Let us tell you in detail about this historical innings… ..

Let me tell you, this historic innings of 1107 runs was not played by Australia (Australia) national team but Victoria was played by Victoria on 28–29 December 1926 at the Melonborn Cricket Ground in the Sheffield Shield match. At that time Victoria created a stormy innings of 1107 runs against New South Wales.

The score of 1107 runs is the highest score of any team in first class cricket till date. Three Victoria batsmen scored 100+ runs in this match, out of which two (Ponsford and Rider) played an innings of around 350–300.

Something like this was the condition of the match

Victoria first covered New South Wales for 221 runs, and then raised a storm with the bat that the pages of cricket were decorated in golden letters. In response, in the first innings, Victoria scored 1107 runs at the loss of 6 wickets, the batting was so aggressive that the bowlers had no response.

Ponsford (352), Rider (295), Woodful (133), Handry (100) had centuries in this innings. After which the team of New South Wales was reduced to just 230 runs in the second innings, and Victoria won the match by an innings and 656 runs. Let me tell you, this is the largest team score ever in first class cricket. This record has not been able to break any international or domestic team till date.

Great partnership of Ponsford and Rider

This record has been able to break anyone till date, it is about 100 years old records. Victoria batsmen Ponsford and Ryder together made such a partnership of runs which are still an example. This match tells how the collective batting of a team can make history.
