Jasprit Bumrah creates history at Lord’s: The third Test match between India and England is being played at Lord’s. Jasprit Bumrah has made a strong comeback in this match after the Leeds Test. Jasprit Bumrah broke the back of the England team by taking five wickets in the Lord’s Test match and played a major role in restricting England to 387 runs. With this performance, Bumrah has created history by taking five wickets at Lord’s. He has become the bowler to take the most five wickets in an innings abroad.

Jasprit Bumrah has achieved the feat of taking five wickets in an innings away from home 13 times. He has become the first Indian bowler to achieve such a feat. He has achieved this special feat by leaving Kapil Dev behind. Kapil Dev had achieved the feat of taking five wickets in an innings away from home 12 times. Now this record of taking the most wickets away from home has been accumulated in Bumrah’s name.

Bumrah equals Wasim Akram

The 5 wickets in today’s match at Lord’s are Bumrah’s first five wickets. Bumrah has not only broken Kapil Dev’s record, but also equaled Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram. Wasim Akram was the Asian player with the most five-wicket hauls in the Sena countries. He had achieved the feat of taking five wickets in an innings 11 times. Bumrah has now also equaled this record.

Bumrah opened his wicket account by taking down Harry Brook, the world’s number one Test batsman in Test cricket, in the third session of the third Test match on Thursday (July 10). Harry Brook was clean bowled by Bumrah for 11 runs in 20 balls. After that, Bumrah wreaked havoc on the second morning of the game by taking three wickets. First, he broke the defense of Ben Stokes (44) and destroyed his triple. Then, Bumrah sent Joe Root (104) and Chris Woakes (0) back in two consecutive balls.

Root was clean bowled by Bumrah, while Woakes was caught for a golden duck by Dhruv Jurel. Bumrah reached his five-wicket haul of the match by blowing Jofra Archer’s stumps on the third ball of the 110th over. Bumrah took 5 wickets for 74 runs in 27 overs in the first innings and helped India bowl out England for 387 runs. Bumrah has a record of taking five wickets in 47 Test matches. Out of these 15 matches, he has taken four in Australia and England, three in South Africa and two each in India and the West Indies.
