OGC Nice have announced that president Jean-Pierre Rivère has decided to step down from his position at the club, with Fabrice Bocquet (General Manager since 2022) to be promoted as his replacement. Rivère will officially leave the role on the 20th of August.

Rivère has been in charge of Nice for the past 14 years, first taking charge in 2011 and helping to lead the club into a new modern era. Under his presidency, Nice have become a regular fixture on the continent, and the club have qualified seven times for European competitions.

In 2019, he also helped attract investment from the INEOS group, which became the new majority shareholder at The Aiglons.

A new role for the soon-to-be former president

Despite the change in leadership, Rivère will continue working with the club past the 20th of August in a new role, where he will become the ambassador and president of the endowment fund.
