India goes out to get white gold, now China will challenge China

India now wants to not only stay on petrol and diesel, but it is trying to take the future energy ie electric vehicles and mineral lithium for green energy. Lithium is called white gold today, because it has become the most important thing for electric vehicles, smartphones and laptop batteries. In view of this, India's government company NLC India LTD is preparing for a partnership with Russia's government company to take a share in the lithium mine in Mali, Africa.

Why is this deal so important?

India currently buys a large part of Lithium from China and Hong Kong. In such a situation, if India starts mining directly in the gardener, then it will not only become the owner of lithium itself, but will also reduce dependence on China. This can reduce the price of electric vehicles, because 30 to 40% of the price of an EV is spent on the battery only.

Effect on your pocket directly

If lithium comes in India, the battery will be cheaper, vehicles will be cheaper and the need for petrol and diesel will also be less. That is, the burden on your pocket will decrease. Also, new plants will be set up in the country, which will increase employment, especially in states where NLC is already working like Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

India's big dream

The government aims to have 30% of the vehicles electric by 2030 and the target of net zero carbon should be met by 2070. For this, a large amount of lithium is needed, which is expected to come from the gardener. If this deal is successful, then India will start selling batteries not only for itself, but the whole world. That is, the big advantage of * Make in India * and a direct challenge to China.

But there are some challenges

However, mining in the gardener will not be easy. There is political instability, and mining will require safety, transport and technology. India does not yet have complete technology of lithium processing, so Russia is necessary. Also, it is very important to take care of environmental rules, so that white gold does not become green poison.

If this deal is successful, then India can play a big role in the future energy revolution. Cheap EV, clean air, low fuel expenses and new employment are all possible. But for this, balance and smart planning will be necessary.
