Axel Tuanzebe has decided to sue Manchester United for alleged “clinical negligence” linked to “medical advice” he received at the club, according to the British daily, The Telegraph.

The report revealed that the centre-back, who left United two years ago when his contract expired, has lodged a legal claim at the High Court.

Tuanzebe, 27, came through the youth system of United, having joined the academy at the age of eight.

He rose through the ranks, leading the team at every age group, eventually making his senior team debut in an FA Cup match against Wigan Athletic in 2017.

However, injuries severely affected his game time at Old Trafford since — he played just 36 more times for the club, with loan spells at Aston Villa, Stoke City and Napoli.

He joined Ipswich Town in September 2023, becoming its first-choice right-back. Playing 40 matches for the side, he helped it earn promotion to the Premier League.
