Pioneer India today announced the launch of its new Automotive 360degree Surround View Camera System. As part of this milestone, Pioneer also revealed that it has secured an OEM customer in India, marking a major step forward in its growth strategy for the Indian market.

The 360degree Surround View Camera System is engineered to provide drivers with a bird’seye view of the vehicle’s surroundings, improving manoeuvrability in tight spaces, enhancing pedestrian awareness, and reducing blind spots.

With a compact design, ultrawideangle lenses, and refined image processing, the system delivers realtime stitched video output directly to the incar display. It can be integrated as a running change to existing car lines or be part of new model development.

Key Features of the Pioneer 360degree Surround View System:

  • Realtime composite bird’seye view from four HD/FHD wideangle cameras
  • Advanced image stitching and lowlatency video processing
  • Ruggedized build quality for high reliability in extreme environment and road conditions
  • Compatibility with standard and custom indash displays
  • Fast autocalibration reducing installation complexity
  • Full integration into OEM vehicle architecture with CAN support

This product launch is being led by Pioneer’s Advanced R&D team in India as part of the company’s globalisation strategy. This rollout marks a significant milestone — the first OEM deployment of Pioneer’s advanced camera technology in the Indian market, localised, manufactured, and delivered by Pioneer India.

“This rollout is a proud moment for our team in India. It reflects our readiness to deliver complex, OEMgrade technology solutions with full local ownership — from concept and development to integration and execution,” said Aniket Kulkarni, Managing Director, Pioneer India.

“We see this as a stepping stone to deeper collaborations with Indian OEMs across safety, connectivity, sound and infotainment domains. We believe this is just the beginning,” added Siva Subramanian, PhD, Executive Officer, Pioneer Corporation & CEO, Mobility AI & Connectivity BU.

“India is a key strategic market for us, and as we expand our camera and connectivity portfolio, we aim to collaborate with more OEMs across India to deliver intelligent, safetyenhancing invehicle experiences.”
