RRB: Recruitment has been done for 40 thousand posts

Indian Railways has so far issued a notification for recruitment to 40 thousand posts, under which examinations have also been conducted for recruitment to these posts. According to the Railways, a notification was issued for recruitment to 16 thousand posts of Assistant Loco Pilot during January to March. More than 18 lakh applications were received for this. The examinations were held in November 2024 and May 2025, while the third-level examination is on July 15. Similarly, a notification for recruitment to more than 14 thousand vacant posts of technicians was issued during April-June. Its examinations have been held on 19 and 30 December 2024.

Recruitment will be done for 60 thousand more posts by March.

According to the Railways, 12 more notifications have been issued from 2024 till now. Through these, 60,000 appointments out of 1,08,324 posts will be made in the financial year 2026-27. RRB NTPC UG level exam will be conducted from 7 August to 8 September 2025. Exam city details will be released 10 days before the exam. At the same time, the admit cards of the candidates will be issued four days before their exam date.

Under the RRB NTPC Under Graduate Level Examination, there will be recruitment for 2022 posts of Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, 72 posts of Train Clerk, 361 posts of Accounts Clerk cum Typist, and 990 posts of Junior Clerk cum Typist. The total number of vacancies is 3445.

According to the railway calendar, the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot, Technician, Non Technical Level 2 and 3, Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant is said to be finalized between July and September. The recruitment process can start from October to December in the Ministerial and Isolated categories in the Paramedical category.

Recruitment Calendar: Railways changed the rules for recruitment

Many rules have been changed for the convenience of the candidates in the railway recruitment examinations. Now, in any railway examination, candidates can sit for the examination with religious symbols. Railways has issued a notification regarding this. Now candidates can wear various religious symbols like Kalava, Kada, or turban in their hands and go to the examination centre.

Earlier, the railways did not allow wearing religious symbols in the examination due to the fear that a candidate might hide any kind of electronic gadget in it. However, keeping in mind the faith of the candidates, the railways have removed this ban.
