Delhi bomb threat: On Wednesday, there was chaos in Delhi’s heart site Connaught Place, when there was a bomb in LIC building. Taking immediate action, the Delhi Police sent the bomb disposal squad and the dog squad on the spot, after which the building was evacuated and sealed to the area. The incident took place in Parliament Street Police Station area, where senior police officers also reached the spot and keep a close watch on the situation. Taking this information very seriously, the Delhi Police has taken all possible precautionary steps. In recent times, the increasing incidence of bomb threats in Delhi has further increased the vigilance of the security agencies.
According to Delhi Police, as soon as the bomb was reported, the bomb disposal squad and the dog squad started a thorough investigation into every corner of LIC building. "No suspicious item has been recovered so far," A senior police officer told. Nevertheless, there is no way from the security point of view. The building has been completely evacuated and the surrounding area has also been sealed. The officials are constantly monitoring the situation so that any possible threat can be prevented.
In recent times, incidents of bomb threats are coming in Delhi. Five schools in Delhi received threatening emails on Wednesday morning, which were later found to be fake in the investigation. A Delhi Police official said, “Even though most such call mischief comes out, it is necessary to investigate every information in terms of security.” These threats have forced the security system in the city to tighten further.
