The Unique Identification Authority of India has once again appealed to all parents and parents to complete the compulsory biometric update of children on time. This is not only necessary to maintain the validity of Aadhaar, but will also help your child to provide benefits of many essential services and facilities.

When a child is five years old, it is necessary to update fingerprints, iris scans and new photos in his base. The special thing is that this service is giving absolutely free. If this update is made after the age of seven years, it will be charged a fixed fee of ₹ 100.

Aadhaar can also be inactive
According to the information, if for some reason you have not updated your child’s Aadhaar even after the age of seven years, then the base can also be inactive. This may cause the child in future from school admission to scholarship and government schemes.

Aadhaar is to be updated by 18 crore children
The Authority is interacting with CBSE and other education boards for children’s biometric updates. It is necessary to update the biometric data of children at the age of five to seven years and then at the age of 15 to 17 years. For this, the authority has prepared a special plan so that the update of about 18 crore children can be completed.

UIDAI’s new tool
The Aadhaar issued by UIDAI was originally considered as evidence of identity rather than citizenship. People used to easily make Aadhaar. However, recent measures now ensure that only verified adults can enroll for specific IDs. A new tool developed by UIDAI will add a second layer of verification during a person’s Aadhaar update or enrollment. The new tool will make access to available documents online, including driving license, PAN, MNREGA details and utility bills such as electricity bills.
