Fastag new rule: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has implemented new rules for Fastag. If the fastag is not properly affixed on the windscreen of your vehicle, as if it is hanging or half sticking, or if you scan the fastag in hand, your fastag will be blacklist. NHAI considers it a state of ‘tag-in-hand’. The purpose of this rule is to ensure rapid withdrawal of vehicles on tolls.
Vehicle drivers should paste their fastag correctly on the windscreen so that they can avoid blacklisting. In addition, Fastag is required to have KYC updates and have sufficient balance. If the balance is low, fill it immediately.
Many arbitrary people on tolls, such as politicians and gangsters, often do not use Fastag. They debate toll and use Fastag when no solution is found. Now this new rule will have the most impact on such drivers.
NHAI is continuously taking new measures to make toll operations smooth. Recently, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced an annual pass for Rs 3000 from August 15, which will have 200 trips or 1 year validity, whatever ends earlier.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has released an email ID, which is available on every toll. If someone violates the rules, the toll workers will send information about the fastag on that email. NHAI will blacklist such fastag with promptness.
