But Asif himself broke the confusion, saying that he had not a heart attack, but a gastroisophageal reflux disease (GERD), whose symptoms were like heart attack.

According to the incident, Asif Khan was returning to Mumbai from Rajasthan when he suddenly felt severe chest irritation and pain and fainted in the bathroom. It was immediately rushed to the hospital where after ECG and other medical tests revealed that it was not a heart attack but a sharp acid reflux (GERD).

What is gerd?
GERD is a chronic disease associated with a digestive system, in which stomach acid repeatedly comes into the food pipe (esophagus). Causes:
