Pakistani actor and model Mamya Shajaffar, widely known for her breakout role in the popular drama Meesni, is currently facing strong public criticism after sharing vacation photos from Thailand’s Koh Samui Island. The actress, who also goes by her real name Maham Shahid, gained popularity for portraying a double role in Meesni, and later appeared in hit serials such as Jhok Sarkar, College Gate, Faraar, and Jaan Se Pyara Juni.

Known for her love of the arts—including painting, dancing, and acting—Mamya is currently enjoying a relaxing getaway with her husband Farooq Gul, a photographer and creative director. However, her choice of bold beachwear in the recently shared vacation pictures has sparked widespread criticism on social media.

Many users have condemned her attire, labeling it “inappropriate” and “against cultural values.” Some remarks have gone as far as questioning her professionalism and intentions. One social media user wrote, “She’s always ready to take her clothes off,” while another commented, “She’s doing all this to stay relevant because she lacks talent.” A few users even made sarcastic remarks about her becoming an adult film star, criticizing her for seeking fame through controversy.

Despite the backlash, Mamya has not responded publicly to the criticism.
