Thailand’s Bangkok topped a list of 100 most popular destinations for digital nomads, individuals who work remotely from anywhere using digital technology as compiled by HotelWithTub, a website specializing in hotel searches.

Bangkok offers affordable living costs, convenient transport, reliable internet, and a vibrant culture. Nomads gave the city an impressive 4.55 out of 5.

Numerous co-working spaces from luxury buildings to garden cafes, a comfortable atmosphere, and excellent value for money are also the city’s strengths.

Thailand has seven cities featured on the list. In addition to Bangkok, the list includes Nakhon Ratchasima (5th), Koh Phangan (13th), Chiang Mai (26th), Koh Lanta (45th), Phuket (59th), and Krabi (93rd).

The ranking was based on data from over 1,300 cities worldwide, evaluating factors such as cost of living, quality of life, safety, and social media popularity.

Euromonitor International last year named Bangkok the world’s top tourism city after it welcomed a record-breaking 32.4 million visitors.
