A painful accident occurred in Piplod village of Jhalawar district of Rajasthan on Friday morning. The roof of the Government High Primary School collapsed, causing seven innocent children to die and injured more than a dozen.

The building of this school is 78 years old.

Accident occurred due to negligence of administration

Rajasthan's Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar met 11 injured children admitted to SRG Hospital in Jhalawar and asked them about their well being. Along with this, he said that 7 children have lost their lives in this accident, this is a very sad incident. He said that the families of the deceased children will be given financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh and a family will be given a contract job. The government will get a new school and the school rooms will be named after the deceased students. He said that the accident will be investigated and action will be taken against those responsible. We have suspended 5 teachers for negligence.
