For UPI payment, you need a smartphone. But soon, apart from mobile, you will also be able to make this payment through car, watch or TV. Let us tell you that a big change is being prepared for this in India, due to which the UPI system will change.

For this, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is building an Internet of Things (IoT) based OTP based system. Which will enable smart gadgets to make payments on their own. That is, the car will be able to pay parking fees, the fridge can recharge, and the subscription will be renewed from the smartwatch.

For this, every device in the system will get a virtual payment address i.e. VPA. Which will be linked to the user's main UPI ID. This will allow the device to make payments on its own. It will work through UPI Circle.

With which the user will be able to keep his devices under control. This new feature will have features like delegated payments and autopay. That is, once the access is given, the device will be able to make payments on its own. But if you want, you can also keep OTP based security on.

NPCI can launch this system in the 2025 Global Fintech Fest. If it gets the necessary approval. So soon it can start for everyone. With this feature, you will not need to pay bills separately. Nor will there be any delay in paying them.
