Rahuri-Swabhimani Kisan Sangathan has demanded that onion be guaranteed Rs 5 per quintal through Nafed and the entire loan waiver of the farmers. Ravindra More, the district president of the organization, submitted the demand to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at Rahuri.
When Deputy Chief Minister Pawar came to an event in the market committee in Rahuri, he was given the statement at that time. The government has demanded that the government should immediately buy onion from the farmers at the rate of Rs 5 per quintal, give a grant of Rs 5 per kirt on the onion exports and increase the onion procurement centers of Nafed.
