All schools in Bhopal will remain closed on Wednesday. The District Collector has issued an order and instructed all the schools to strictly follow the order.
In view of the continuous heavy rains in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the District Collector has declared a holiday in all schools on Wednesday, 30 July 2025. This order will be applicable to all schools including government, non-government, CBSE, ICSE, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Navodaya Vidyalaya. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rains in many parts of the state including Bhopal, due to which this decision has been taken.
Teachers and school staff will have to come
The district administration has taken this step giving priority to the safety of the children. Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh said that this decision has been taken in view of the waterlogging on the roads and problems in traffic due to heavy rains. According to the order, all schools from nursery to class 12 will remain closed on July 30. However, teachers and school staff will have to attend school regularly.
Weather department predicted heavy rain
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Bhopal in the next 24 hours, and the weather may remain the same till July 31. The district administration has clarified that if this trend of rain continues, then the holiday can be considered to be extended. The administration has appealed to the parents to keep the children safe at home and not go out without any important reason.

The district administration has instructed all schools to strictly follow the order. The administration has warned that if any school is found violating this order, action will be taken against it under the Disaster Management Act 2005.
