Many unique rituals have been performed all over the world including India, which people have been playing for centuries. People of every religion get married in different ways. However, marriage means the union of two souls as well as the bond of two families, which is fulfilled lawfully. It is one of the 16 rites in Hinduism. The lifestyle of different society is known by the tradition played during this period. Marriage traditions are quite different everywhere, which is a ritual lasting for several days.
Today we will tell you about a unique practice to marriage, which is called Pali Entry, where a woman collectively marries many brothers of the same family.
You must be surprised to hear this, but this ritual is happy. This tradition is centuries old, which is still performed today. Indeed, in some parts of Tibet, a woman still marries many brothers, whose main objective is to save the ancestral property from increasing.
China Academy of Social Sciences did research on this, according to which the woman’s main husband is the eldest brother of the family here. At the same time, the other brothers are called the associate husband. All brothers have equal rights on his wife. At the same time, the wife also treats all her husbands equally, loves equally.
The geographical reason behind this practice is also connected. Actually, some areas of Tibet are very cold, due to being high and barren, cultivable land is also less here. In such a situation, a tradition was created centuries ago that a woman would marry all the brothers of the family, so that the property will not be divided and they would not have to be dependent on any other resource to survive, nor would they have to face difficulties in living.
Under this tradition, all male members here work together, making the family’s financial condition strong. Although this practice is quite strange for other people, this practice is considered absolutely normal in these areas of Tibet.
At the same time, all the children from that woman are raised together. The identity of the biological father is not given much importance there. Currently, there has been a lot of change in the urban area, but this tradition is still being played in rural areas, which is presented as an example. All these people live a happy life.
