In the political arena of Bihar, Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraj, is exerting all his efforts. He has been consistently targeting his opponents. Recently, Kishor accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of having a politically motivated upcoming visit aimed solely at garnering votes. While addressing a gathering at Jagat Singh High School ground in the Saraiya block of Muzaffarpur, he questioned Gandhi's whereabouts when unemployed youth were struggling and when migrant workers were walking home during the COVID crisis. He challenged what Gandhi has done for education, employment, and development in Bihar.

Kishor further claimed that Bihar has become a factory for laborers. He remarked that these leaders have been in power for the last 40-45 years, but people are no longer falling for their traps. He also responded to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, who recently labeled him a novice leader. Kishor acknowledged this, stating, 'I agree—I am a new leader. I lack the experience of corruption and extortion like them. We are attempting to pursue a different kind of politics.'

According to reports, Gandhi is set to lead a week-long foot march in Bihar as part of a broader strategy opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list by the Election Commission. It has been reported that Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), will accompany Gandhi, and the proposed march will conclude with a large rally in Patna. An insider from Congress mentioned to a media outlet, 'The journey may commence on August 9, although an official announcement is still pending. The route is being finalized.'

Meanwhile, following the completion of the month-long SIR process before the upcoming assembly elections, the Election Commission (EC) is fully prepared to publish the draft voter list for Bihar on Friday. Regarding the SIR, Prashant Kishor stated that they have opposed it from the very beginning. He has consistently argued that the Election Commission is attempting to remove the names of individuals from society who oppose the ruling party, including migrant workers and the impoverished. He emphasized that the Election Commission has no right to determine anyone's citizenship. If the Election Commission is removing your name, you should stand against it... No matter how hard the government tries, it cannot prevent Nitish Kumar and the NDA from losing power in November.
