Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, flagged off 3 new express trains via video conference on Sunday.
The flag-off ceremony was held in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar, where Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai were also present.
The new trains which were shown green flags were:
Jabalpur - Raipur Express: This train will connect Jabalpur, known for Rani Durgavati’s legacy, to the sacred land of Chhattisgarh.
Rewa - Pune Superfast Express: This train links the spiritual regions of Rewa - home to white tigers, Maa Sharda temple, and Lord Ram’s Chitrakoot - with Pune, the land of Shivaji Maharaj.
Bhavnagar - Ayodhya Express: Seen as a modern bridge between Lord Krishna’s and Lord Ram’s regions, this train symbolizes spiritual unity.

Speaking from Ujjain, CM Yadav said these new trains are a gift under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reflecting the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat - One India, Great India.
"Railways not only connect two stations but also bring together two cultures and lifestyles," he said.
CM Yadav described this day as ‘historic’ for families in Vindhya, Mahakaushal, and Vidarbha regions. He expressed hope that these trains would fulfill the dreams of lakhs of travelers, especially during the holy month of Shravan.
He also highlighted the recent approval of the Itarsi - Nagpur Fourth Rail Line, which will benefit areas like Narmadapuram, Betul, and Pandhurna in Madhya Pradesh and Nagpur in Maharashtra.
This will make pilgrimages to key Jyotirlinga sites like Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Srisailam, and Rameswaram more accessible.

“These trains are not just about convenience,” Yadav said. “They will bring economic opportunities, boost tourism, and foster deeper ties between states. On railway tracks, not just engines and coaches run - dreams do too.”
He expressed heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their quick and sensitive decisions that are transforming Madhya Pradesh’s railway landscape.
