SL Benfica’s record signing, Richard Rios is expected to start when they take on OGC Nice in the first leg of the third round of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Benfica head into the fixture at the Allianz Riviera as the favourites. However, there are plenty of absentees for the Portuguese side. Tomás Araujo, Alexander Bah, Manu Silva, and Kerem Aktürkoglu are all out for Bruno Lage’s side.

Rios, who joined earlier in the summer, is set to start in the midfield, whilst Amar Dedic, who spent last season on loan at Olympique de Marseille, is expected to start in defence, as will Argentina international Nicolas Otamendi. Vangelis Pavlidis will lead the line for the Portuguese side at the Allianz Riviera.
