Apart from this, the cyclonic circulation formed in Gangetic West Bengal and North Odisha and the active western disturbance in North-West India are increasing the intensity of rain. Due to these reasons, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many districts of the state on August 8.
Due to the moisture coming from the Arabian Sea, another round of heavy rainfall is expected in many districts. However, there may be a slight decrease in rainfall on 9th and 10th August, which will provide relief to the people. But from 11th August, torrential rains are expected to start once again in the Terai regions.
Lucknow will be cloudy on August 8 and moderate rain is expected. The continuous rain will bring down the temperature and the weather will remain cool. People will get relief from the humid heat.
The Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious during rains and avoid unnecessary travel in waterlogged areas. In case of heavy rains, it is also important to maintain distance from river banks and landslide prone areas.
