In a tragic incident, Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif Qureshi, was killed following a violent altercation over a parking dispute in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area. The incident occurred late Thursday night and has sent shockwaves across the local community and social media.
According to Indian media reports, the altercation began around 11 PM near a local market when Asif asked a group of individuals to move their scooter, which was parked close to the entrance of his residence. This seemingly minor disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Asif’s family alleges that he was brutally attacked with a heavy object during the argument. He sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
Delhi Police confirmed the arrest of two suspects in the case—brothers identified as Ujjwal and Gautam. Police sources revealed that Ujjwal was the first to initiate the assault on Asif. A case of murder has been registered, and further investigation is underway to determine the full sequence of events and whether others were involved.
The Qureshi family is reportedly devastated by the loss. Asif was said to be a well-liked and peaceful member of the community. Huma Qureshi, known for her roles in films such as Gangs of Wasseypur, Badlapurand the Netflix series Maharanihas yet to issue a public statement regarding the incident.
This tragic event has reignited concerns about rising violence over petty disputes and the need for improved community policing in crowded urban areas like Delhi. As the investigation continues, many are demanding justice for Asif and stricter measures to curb such violent behavior over trivial matters.
