President Donald Trump has pledged to make the US capital "safer and more beautiful" by removing the homeless population from Washington, D. C. with Reuters reporting that he is preparing for the National Guard to flood the city's streets.

Trump shared images of tent encampments on Truth Social on Sunday.

"The Homeless have to move out, IMMEDIATELY. We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital," Trump declared just a week after he issued a bizarre reason for his son, Barron's massive height.

"The Criminals, you don't have to move out. We're going to put you in jail where you belong. It's all going to happen very fast, just like the Border. We went from millions pouring in, to ZERO in the last few months. This will be easier - Be prepared," Trump wrote.

"There will be no "MR. NICE GUY, reports the Mirror US.

"We want our Capital BACK. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" he concluded.

This follows Trump's repeated assertions that the nation's capital represents "one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the world."

Such measures would help "essentially, stop violent crime" across the U.S., he stated.

Trump has also suggested implementing federal oversight of D. C.'s police force last week, alongside deploying National Guard troops to tackle crime.

Trump's emphasis on crime comes after a series of violent incidents in D. C., including Edward Coristine, a former Department of Government Efficiency employee who fell victim to an attempted carjacking.

"We have a capital that's very unsafe, you know, we just almost lost a young man, beautiful, handsome guy that got the hell knocked out of him," Trump remarked regarding the incident.

Trump's comments came just before Reuters journalist Idrees Ali reported "The U.S. military is preparing for the activation of hundreds of National Guard to Washington D.C."

He claimed that the crime was "out of control" with young "thugs" and "gang members" who end up "randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent citizens."

Last week, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt informed Fox News that Trump "has directed an increased presence of federal law enforcement to protect innocent citizens. Starting tonight, there will be no safe harbor for violent criminals in D.C."

She also remarked, "Washington, D.C. is an amazing city, but it has been plagued by violent crime for far too long."
