Hal shashti kb hai 2025: In Sanatan Dharma, the month of Bhado holds great importance. Balaram Jayanti is celebrated on Shashthi Tithi falling in this month. This birth anniversary is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Lord Krishna’s elder brother ‘Balaram’. This year, this birth anniversary will be celebrated on August 14, Thursday.

According to the Panchang, Shashthi Tithi will start on August 14 at 4:23 am and will end on August 15 at 2:07 am.
Any fast is kept on the basis of Udaya Tithi, so Halashti will be celebrated on 14 August. This festival comes 6 days after Rakshabandhan and before Janmashtami.
Some special times are considered very auspicious for worship on the day of Halashti. By worshiping in these times, the fruit of the fast increases manifold.
On this day, there is Brahma Muhurta from 4:23 am to 5:07 am, which is considered a very holy time. Abhijeet Muhurta is from 11:59 pm to 12:52 pm, which is auspicious for all works.
Apart from this, Vijay Muhurta from 2:37 to 3:30 pm and Godhuli Muhurta from 7:01 to 7:23 pm are also good for worship. There is Amrit Kaal from 6:50 am to 8:20 am, which is also a great time for worship.
According to the scriptures, worshiping Halashthi fast gives children happiness and long life. On this day, get up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes. If possible, do the mahua.

Use curd and ghee made from buffalo milk, do not take cow’s milk. Read or listen to the story of Halashti, then perform the Aarti of Balaram ji and Shri Krishna. Apply grass with halashi on the courtyard or roof.
