The date of the Delhi University Students' Union election has been announced. According to the DU notification, Delhi University Students' Union elections will be held on September 18.

After this, counting will be done the very next day. According to the DU notification, voting for day classes will be held from 8:30 am to 1 pm, while students of evening classes will be able to vote from 3 pm to 7:30 pm. The last date for submitting nomination papers, a demand draft of Rs 500 as annual fee, and a bond of Rs one lakh is September 10, till 3 pm.

The notification states that the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on the same day at 3:15 pm, after which the list of nominated candidates will be published by 6 pm. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is September 11 at 12 noon, and the final list of candidates will be published by 5 pm on the same day.

Where to submit nomination papers

For DUSU posts, nomination papers will be submitted at the office of the Chief Election Officer located at the Convention Centre, opposite the Department of Botany in the North Campus. For Central Council seats, nomination papers will be submitted at the respective colleges or departments. The notification also states that the code of conduct, constitution of DUSU, Supreme Court orders on student union elections and related guidelines are available on the DU website.
