Lakshya Sen has been performing well in national and international competitions for a long time. He reached the men’s singles semi -finals at the 2024 Paris Olympics internationally. He was the first Indian male player to reach the semi -finals in the badminton singles at the Olympics. He lost by a very low margin in the match for the bronze medal. Despite this, Lakshya definitely assured the Indians that in the coming time, he can fill India’s empty bag with a medal in this competition.

Lakshya Sen was born on 16 August 2001 in Almora district of Uttarakhand. His grandfather and father were badminton players. Elder brother Chirag Sen also plays badminton. In such a situation, badminton joined the life of the target at a very young age. He shifted to Bengaluru to make a career in badminton.

Sen attended the academy of coach Vimal Kumar at the age of almost 10 years. He has also trained in Prakash Padukone’s academy and considers him his mentor. Lakshya Sen has been the world’s number one player in Junior Badminton. His performance at the junior level has been attractive.

Lakshya Sen’s career so far has been full of achievements. He won the gold medal in the men’s singles category at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Earlier, he had a bronze medal in the men’s singles at the World Championship in 2021. He won gold at the Thomas Cup held in 2022.

He was awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India in 2022. The targets are 24 years old. Coach works hard in Vimal Kumar’s academy. After missing the target medal at the Paris Olympics, his coach Vimal said that he had the ability to win the Olympic medal. The next Olympics are to be in Los Angeles in 2028. It is expected that Lakshya will remove the shortcomings of Paris in Los Angeles and get the first medal in men’s singles in badminton.
