Jio-Aartel is the largest telecom companies in India. VI and BSNL customers are the lowest. But the rule of SIM card is applied for the most. Many times people forget to recharge. Because of which their SIM card is closed.

Many times such a situation also becomes that the SIM card is issued to someone else.

In such a situation, it is very important for you to know how many days you can keep the SIM without recharge. Otherwise your SIM will also be released to someone else and then you will not be able to use it. More problems will come if the mobile number is linked to a bank account or Aadhaar. In such a situation, you should know the rule of closure of SIM.

Jio rule

First of all, tell you about Jio's rule. If you are not recharging the JIO number, then your SIM can be closed. According to the company, you will not be able to make any outgoing calls 7 days after your active recharge is over. However, the facility of incoming call will be operational during this period.

But, it will only be for 60 to 90 days. If there is no recharge for 90 days, then the facility of both incoming outgoing calls on the number will be closed. Even after this, the company will give up to 60 days time. If you do not recharge the number during this time, then your number will be given to someone else. However, the company also sends alerts through SMS before being deactivated.

Airtel's rule

Airtel's rule is also almost similar to that of live. Outgoing calls are facilitated for 15 days after the validity is over. However, the facility of incoming calls is available for 60 to 90 days. During this time, in case of not being top-up, your number will be blocked after 60 days. During this time companies also give reminders.

A similar rule also applies to VI. The TRAI rules have become even more strict for telecom companies. They want to neutralize inactive numbers and reduce unumed sim. This is the reason that Airtel and Jio now require at least one recharge in 90 days to keep your number running.
