PTC Web Desk: PML SD Business School, Chandigarh, hosted its 3rd convocation ceremony for the PGDM (2023–25) batch, marking a proud milestone in academic excellence and professional readiness.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW India, was the chief guest. Addressing the graduating class, he emphasised the fast-changing nature of the global business environment and the importance of agility, resilience, and continuous learning. Drawing from his corporate journey, he encouraged students to pursue careers with passion, integrity, and a commitment to societal growth. He also reminisced about his own college years, recalling how campus life shaped his professional aspirations.
Vaishali Sharma, president of the Board of Governors and Head of Marketing, Sony SAB & Sony MAX Movie Cluster, Sony Pictures Network India, presided over the ceremony along with Dr Kapil Pandla, Director of the Business School. She urged graduates to remain lifelong learners and embrace change with confidence. She also praised the faculty for creating an environment of holistic growth and reiterated the vision of the late Upkar Krishan Sharma, the school’s former president, of shaping ethical and socially responsible leaders.
Dr Kapil Pandla presented the annual report and reminded graduates that values and ethics are the true foundation of leadership. The ceremony also recognised outstanding performers: Gold medal: Tanisha Goyal (highest CGPA); silver medal: Arushi Gupta (second-highest CGPA), Best Student Medal (Sh Upkar Krishan Sharma Award): Karanpreet Singh; Director’s Medal: Aditya Rampal; Best Summer Internship Awards: Tanisha Goyal, Aman Gautam, and Muskan Malik.
The occasion also saw the launch of ‘Second Draft’, a podcast by the marketing club, and Issue 3 of ‘Campus Connect’, the school’s annual report.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Sukhpreet Kaur, Chairperson (Examinations), and a pledge by the graduating students to contribute meaningfully to society, the corporate world, and the nation.
