Details of the Case
Another suspect has been apprehended in the tragic murder case of Nikki, a resident of Sirsa village in Greater Noida. Nikki was reportedly killed by her husband, Vipin Bhati, on August 21, 2025. Initially, she was taken to Fortis Hospital in Noida in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries while being transferred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Following the incident, police detained Bhati and initiated legal action against his family members. Currently, Bhati, his mother, and an additional suspect are in custody as the investigation progresses.
Following the arrest of the mother-in-law, the victim's father, Bhikhari Singh Payla, expressed his satisfaction with the administration's actions. He stated, "The administration is working well. The monsters burnt her to death... I am pleased that she (the victim's mother-in-law) has been arrested. She is behind the entire conspiracy. It is a mother’s duty to guide her child. Instead of correcting him, she encouraged his actions. They deserve the harshest punishment..."
Nikki and her elder sister Kanchan married brothers Vipin and Rohit in 2016. However, just six months into their marriages, they began facing harassment from their in-laws over dowry demands. When Vipin's request for a dowry of Rs 36 lakh went unmet, he, along with his mother, brutally assaulted Nikki before setting her ablaze on the night of August 21. This horrifying incident occurred in Sirsa village, Greater Noida.
