Eight of the country’s top-10 most valued companies collectively added Rs 172148.89 crore in market capitalisation last week tracking the bullish momentum in domestic equities. The BSE benchmark itself advanced 709.19 points or 0.87% during the period.
Reliance Industries led the rally gaining Rs 48107.94 crore to push its market valuation to Rs 1907131.37 crore. Other major gainers included Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Bharti Airtel ICICI Bank Infosys Hindustan Unilever Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and Bajaj Finance.
The market capitalisation (mcap) of Hindustan Unilever jumped Rs 34280.54 crore to Rs 617672.30 crore.
Bharti Airtel Infosys Share Price Surge
Bharti Airtels valuation surged Rs 33899.02 crore to Rs 1102159.94 crore and that of Bajaj Finance zoomed Rs 20413.95 crore to Rs 555961.39 crore.
The mcap of Infosys edged higher by Rs 16693.93 crore to Rs 618004.12 crore and that of TCS climbed Rs 11487.42 crore to Rs 1104837.29 crore.
ICICI Bank added Rs 6443.84 crore to its market valuation which stood at Rs 1025426.19 crore. The market valuation of LIC went up by Rs 822.25 crore to Rs 562703.42 crore.

HDFC Bank SBI MCAP Reduces Last Week
However the mcap of HDFC Bank eroded by Rs 20040.7 crore to Rs 1508346.39 crore. The market valuation of State Bank of India declined by Rs 9784.46 crore to Rs 753310.70 crore.
