South superstar Vijay Deverakonda’s recently released film Kingdom is now gearing up for its OTT release. This Telugu spy action thriller hit theatres on July 31. Now less than a month after its theatrical debut Kingdom is set to premiere on an OTT platform. The movie didnt perform well at the box office and the critics also shared mixed reviews. The worldwide box office collection of Kingdom is approximately Rs 79.52 crores to Rs 80 crore as reported by Koimoi with figures around Rs 58.52 crore gross in India and Rs 21 crore gross overseas as of early August 2025. When and Where to Watch Kingdom? Vijay Deverakondas new Telugu action drama Kingdom is all set to premiere on Netflix following its theatrical release earlier this year. Directed and written by Gautham Tinnanuri the film received mixed reviews upon release and sparked controversy over its portrayal of Sri Lankan Tamils. According to media reports the budget of Kingdom is Rs 130 crore. According to trade website sacnilk.com the film collected only Rs 51.65 crore at the box office. In such a situation the film flopped badly at the box office. If reports are to be believed Netflix has bought the OTT rights of Kingdom for Rs 50 crore. Vijay Deverakondas film is ready for OTT streaming on Ganesh Chaturthi this month. The film will be released on OTT platform Netflix from August 27 2025. Despite the controversy following its theatrical run Kingdom will be available in multiple languages — Telugu Hindi Tamil Kannada and Malayalam. The story of the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer revolves around a police constable named Suri who is sent on a secret mission to Sri Lanka to track down a dangerous criminal. However the mission takes a shocking turn when Suri discovers that the man he is chasing is actually his long-lost brother. Directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri the movie tells the story of Surya who is an undercover police constable in Sri Lanka looking to dismantle a smuggling syndicate while reconnecting with his estranged brother. It stars Vijay Deverakonda Bhagyashri Borse Satya Dev and Ayyappa P Sharma in key roles.
