Neighbourslegend Jackie Woodburne looks unrecognisable in a peek at a new series in which she will share the screen with Dannii Minogue.

The actress is set to star in Imposter and looks worlds away from Ramsay Street's Susan Kennedy in promo snaps for the drama, which is currently being filmed in Melbourne, Australia.

Clad in an elegant black outfit and with a bright scarf around her neck, she is perched alongside her co-stars Kym Marsh and Dannii, who is making a return to acting after decades of focusing on other projects.

Dannii had a role in Home and Away before focusing on her music career. The Aussie star played tricky teenager Emma Jackson in the soap from 1989 to 1990, but her Imposter part marks her first locally produced TV drama in more than three decades.

Sharing the same promotional image on Instagram, she teased: "We’re not in Summer Bay any more Toto!"

The four-part series is set in a coastal Victorian town and centres around a family feud as matriarch Helen resists pressure from her three adult children to sell off her seaside hotel.

The plot thickens when it turns out that Helen is also hiding a secret, that she once gave a daughter up for adoption. Enter Amanda, whom Helen is thrilled to see. But is Amanda who she claims to be?

"The lucrative hotel is the ultimate prize, and a twisted scheme soon spirals into betrayal and ultimately, murder," says the show's synopsis.

The cast includes Offspring's Don Hany, Charlie Clausen from Home and Away, Kabir Singh from The Tourist, and newcomer Adeline Williams, in addition to its trio of female stars.
