Meghan Markle was humbled after a mixologist who starred in 'With Love, Meghan' season two, admitted he had never seen Meghan in the US TV drama, Suits. The TV drama was the hit show Meghan starred in for seven seasons before marrying Prince Harry.
In episode seven, which premiered on August 26, the Duchess of Sussex and her longtime friend Heather Dorak met up with a mixologist named Payman Bahmani-Bailey. While making drinks together, the Duchess asks him how he became a mixologist and in response, he told her he used to be a lawyer in New York. Meghan, who played a paralegal in the TV drama, then asks, "Did you watch Suits?" to which the mixologist retorts, "No, no, I don't watch basic cable. I like shows with curse words and stuff." Meghan laughs and responds: "Great, I love it."
Meghan previously told the outlet People: "I'm not surprised that people are rediscovering Suits because it was so well written and so well produced."
"It's a time capsule for me," she added, revealing she still has a piece of her character's wardrobe. "I still have the pencil skirt from the first episode! That's the one thing I kept."
Meghan filmed the drama in Canada, and was working on the show in 2016 when she met Prince Harry. They have previously spoken about dating long distance, and flying back and forth from London to Toronto.
In the couple's engagement interview in November 2017, Meghan spoke about leaving the show. She said: "I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It's a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind, I've been working on my show for seven years. We were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series."
Watchers of the new series found the interaction between Meghan and the mixologist amusing, as they shared their insights. One wrote: "Oh Good God did he say 'no, no I don't watch basic cable'?"
Another viewer added on social media: "Did he just bulldoze her by saying he doesn't watch basic cable? Ouchhh."
One joked: "It's like it was painful for her to ask a question not related to her. And then she did ask a question related to her and was humiliated."
