Kejriwal's Strong Allegations Against Congress

Former Chief Minister of Delhi and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Arvind Kejriwal, launched a fierce attack on Congress on Thursday. He claimed that there are widespread beliefs that Congress has made a deal with the BJP. Kejriwal stated that while he was falsely imprisoned, no members of the Gandhi family faced jail time in the National Herald case. He firmly asserted that AAP would not compromise with anyone.

During a meeting with AAP legislators and councilors, Kejriwal expressed his disdain for both Congress and the BJP. He mentioned that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) visited the home of Saurabh Bhardwaj but found nothing. Bhardwaj's wife reportedly told the officials to take them away, as they hardly stay at home. Kejriwal criticized the current regime for imprisoning opposition leaders, stating that he receives suggestions to compromise, but he believes that such politics is unsustainable as the public is aware of the truth.

Kejriwal Highlights Injustice in Political Arrests

He pointed out that accusations have been made against leaders like Mayawati and Owaisi for compromising, and now similar claims are being directed at Congress. He noted that while five major leaders have been jailed, none from Congress have faced similar consequences. Kejriwal remarked that the National Herald case has been discussed widely, and despite being wrongfully accused and jailed, Congress members have not faced the same fate.

Closure of Major Scams

Kejriwal recalled the 2014 elections, stating that the 2G and coal scam cases have been closed. He emphasized that while people speculate about a potential alliance with Congress, AAP would not compromise for power or family interests. He mentioned that the current government in Delhi has been in power for six months, suggesting that perhaps this is a divine indication of AAP's merit.

He urged the public to remain vigilant, especially as the government plans to end electricity subsidies and free power in the near future.

Kejriwal Calls for Action Against U.S. Tariffs

Kejriwal also addressed international issues, criticizing the U.S. for imposing a 50% tariff on Indian goods. He urged Prime Minister Modi to respond by increasing tariffs on U.S. imports, asserting that the nation would support such a move. He demanded that if the government cannot implement this, at least restore the 11% duty on cotton imports from the U.S. to protect Indian farmers.

He expressed concern that India is facing dual challenges: one from Trump's tariffs aimed at crippling Indian industries and the other from Modi's concessions to the U.S. He warned that both farmers and traders in India would suffer as a result.

Kejriwal announced a significant public meeting for AAP on September 7 in Chotila, Surendranagar, Gujarat, a region known for its cotton production. He emphasized the need for farmers and political parties to unite and raise their voices against the government's actions that harm farmers.
