When she was 17 years old she received a call for a local beauty pageant to be held in Andheri. At that time she lived in Borivali and couldn’t even afford the travel expenses. She also opened up about the taunts and rejections she faced because of her body. She said I was an athlete but I was overweight. I lost 20 kg in just three months through sheer hard work and determination. Nehal further recalled how her father wanted her to get married at the age of 18 and even stopped her from going to the gym. As a result she began working out in public parks where she was molested. Nehal said After that my father finally allowed me to go to the gym.
