The Hockey Asia Cup has started with the Indian hockey team with a bang over China. India defeated China 4–3 in the first league of the group. In the exciting match played at Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Rajgir in Nalanda district of Bihar, the Indian team registered a stunning victory over China. Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored three goals while Jugraj Singh scored a goal.
