It is difficult to take newborn or young children to the Aadhaar center. In such a situation, UIDAI provides the Blue Aadhaar Card (Baal Aadhaar) facility. Due to this, the process of making a blue Aadhaar card for small children has become much simpler than before. Now you will not need to go to the Aadhaar center, because UIDAI officials themselves will come to your home and make an Aadhaar card for the child. So let's know the complete process step by step on how to get this new facility.
Apply online from the UIDAI website.
To get Baal Aadhaar, first visit the UIDAI website.
Go to the "My Aadhaar" tab and select "Book an Appointment".
Select the city and Aadhaar service center, and choose new Aadhaar enrollment for a child.
Enter mobile number
After this, you will get an OTP and an appointment.
Now, on the day of the appointment, go to the Aadhaar center with the child and the necessary documents. Child's birth certificate and the mother's or father's Aadhaar card are necessary. Biometric authentication of parents is done at the center, and the child's photo is taken.
What is the age limit for Baal Aadhaar?
There is no minimum age for a Baal Aadhaar card. Aadhaar card can be made for a newborn baby also. Biometrics are not taken for children below 5 years of age; only facial photos are taken. Also, it is linked to the Aadhaar of the parents.
Card delivery and future biometric update
You will get a slip. Now, within 60 to 90 days, your child's Aadhaar card will be delivered to the given address. Note here that the child's biometrics will have to be updated after completing 5 years and 15 years. This will also help in future Aadhaar.
