Effect of floods in Hisar

In Hisar district, waterlogging has been done at many places due to rains for the last two days. From Saturday night to Sunday night received 98 mm of rain, affecting power supply in Barwala town and about 30 villages. 33 KV power stations of Aryanagar, Bhatla and Barwala were flooded, due to which the power supply had to be stopped.

The power situation has also been affected by the fall of transformers at 19 places in the district. The farms have been flooded due to the breakdown of minor near Daulatpur village. Ghaggar multipurpose drain is overflowing. Zip councilor Sunil Mund told that the drain broke near Nyoli Kalan at 10 pm.

Efforts were made to extract water from Aryanagar 33 KV power station, but electricity could not be started due to rain again in the evening. Apart from Aryanagar, about 15 villages like Ludas, Shahpur, Uthayasam, Nyoli, Hindwan, Rawalwas, Dhirwas are connected with this power station.

Record of rain in August

In August, Hisar district received 160.5 mm of rainfall, which is 68.8 percent more than normal. Due to excessive rains, water has accumulated in the fields and there is a situation of waterlogging in the cities. The maximum temperature is 27 ° C and the minimum temperature is 22.1 ° C.


Weather prediction

According to meteorologists, Haryana, NCR and Delhi are expected to receive continuous rains in the first week of September. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the entire region.

Rescue arrangements instructions

Officials of the Department of Revenue, Irrigation and Agriculture have been given instructions about the situation arising out of rain. Chief Minister Naib Saini has asked to continuously visit the field and get information about the situation. The process of giving compensation to the affected farmers will be started.
