In view of the increasing attacks of hackers, users have been advised to change the password immediately and turn on two step verification. Cyber attack cases are increasing rapidly by hackers and many people are falling prey to the coming days. Hacking group shinyhunters may be behind these cyber attacks, this group, inspired by Pokémon franchise, is active since 2020.
The hand of this group is said to be behind many high profile data breeches including Microsoft, AT & T, Santnder and Ticketmaster. Fishing is the favorite strategy of the shinniers to cheat people, these groups prepare carefully prepared emails so that users get trapped by clicking fake login page or giving sensitive information including security code. Most of the data stolen by this group was primarily available, but Google has warned that this group can attack even more.
In Google’s blog post, we believe that the ‘Shinoors’ brand data leak site (DLS) is preparing to faster its strategy of forcibly recovery. A few weeks later on August 8, Google sent an email to the potentially affected Gmail users and advised them to increase the security of their account without delay. Two step verification creates an extra layer of security on your account so that even if someone knows the password of your account, no one can access your account.
In addition to passwords, secondary code is also needed to enter after applying two step verification. Google’s warning is not just for those who have been targeted. Email account is often used for banking, shopping and social media logins, so many big problems can be created due to hacked Gmail.
